Thérèse McKinny-Wood is Director of Impact and Governance at Stand for Children. While a Teach For America teacher in the Mississippi Delta, Thérèse co-founded an organization providing Delta students with the opportunity to experience new cultures first-hand. She lead two student programs to Honduras, then moved to rural Honduras to study educational resilience in disadvantaged communities through a Fulbright grant. Thérèse joined the Stand team in January of 2011, after earning her M.P.A. from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
