Safeguarding Labor Rights From the Factory Floor

In today’s complex, global supply chain, no single government body or agency can adequately protect workers. Who’s best positioned to drive needed changes -- avoiding catastrophes like the Rana Plaza factory collapse last year in Bangladesh, and ensuring laborers work in safety and dignity?

From heavy-hitting industry alliances to grassroots approaches giving laborers a voice, solutions are emerging from the top-down and bottom-up. In this interactive hangout, join in the conversation with a social entrepreneur, a former procurement officer, and a CSR leader working on the forefront of ethical supply chains to explore:

  • Significant obstacles related to transparency and enforcement around labor rights
  • What’s working and how solutions might scale to markets worldwide
  • How supply chains must evolve to meet ethical standards
