“Retiree Healthcare Plans: The Hidden Threat to Local Governments" - Robert C. Pozen is Senior Lecturer at Harvard Business School and Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution. He was formerly chairman of MFS Investment Management®, which manages over $200 billion in assets for over five million investors worldwide. This represents an increase of about 75% from the first half of 2004 when Bob was named chairman.

Bob was formerly vice chairman of Fidelity Investments and president of Fidelity Management & Research Company, the investment advisor to the Fidelity mutual funds. Before joining Fidelity, Bob was a partner at the Washington, D.C., law firm of Caplin & Drysdale, where he led the banking/securities department from 1981 to 1986. Prior to that, Bob was associate general counsel to the Securities & Exchange Commission from 1978 to 1980. Bob also was a law professor at Georgetown and New York University from 1973 through 1977.

Since 2002, the IMPACT Speaker Series has brought highly successful business leaders from a variety of industries to campus to share their experiences and give advice to students and other entrepreneurs on topics ranging from "building a venture around intellectual capital" to "successful entrepreneurship in large organizations" and "socially responsible leadership."
