"The Power of Open Data: Making Cities Smarter, More Participatory, and Effective" - Rohit Malhotra, is the Executive Director of Center for Civic Innovation, a resource hub and open campus for civic innovators and social entrepreneurs in downtown Atlanta. Before this, Malhotra worked at a variety of interesting positions such as: social media for President Obama’s first run for the White House, Bono’s “One Campaign,” served as an Ash Center Government Innovations Fellow for the White House-Executive Office of the President, and became interested in open data (sharing of public records) within governments.

Since 2002, the IMPACT Speaker Series has brought highly successful business leaders from a variety of industries to campus to share their experiences and give advice to students and other entrepreneurs on topics ranging from "building a venture around intellectual capital" to "successful entrepreneurship in large organizations" and "socially responsible leadership."

This event is open to the community.
